The East African and Brazilian Conservation Agriculture Manufacturers' Trade Mission Workshop was held at the training centre of the Instituto Agrônomico do Paraná (IAPAR) in Londrina, Paraná, from 19 to 21 May 2008.

Both the workshop and a one week study tour were organized jointly by the Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa e ao Desenvolvimento do Agronegócio (FAPEAGRO) the African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) and the Rural Infrastructure and Agro-industries Division (AGS), FAO.

The Rural Infrastructure and Agro-industries Division (AGS) is Lead Technical Unit for the Conservation agriculture for SARD Project. Inter-Continental (Africa - Latin America) equipment supply and marketing links between manufacturers ,agribusinesses, large retailers and farmers are required to meet the growing demand for technology and equipment for up-scaling conservation agriculture practices. AGS, the CA-SARD and the African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) are assisting governments and private sector actors in this endeavour. ACT will take a lead role in extending the established linkages from East Africa to the Western- and Southern African regions.
