That Africa is able to deplore its natural
resources to support attainment basic livelihoods needs for its
peoples and provide sustainable foundation for industrialization
and socio-economic growth. This is expected to be achieved
through change in attitudes and practices for more mutual
human-nature interactions with conservation agriculture
principles more as the norm than exception in farming practices.
Through supporting enhanced and widespread adoption of CA
practices, ACT aims to contribute to enabling especially the
smallholder farming communities use agriculture as a feasible
and viable means to sustainably provide for their own livelihood
needs (stable/ guaranteed food security, poverty alleviation,
income generation, access to social and health services, etc…).
This should also stimulate economic growth enabling farming
communities to “exit” the poverty and environmental degradation
trap. |
