Governance Structure & International Advisory Panel

ACT governance structure is designed to promote transparency, accountability, legitimacy and facilitate collaboration with members and consultation with stakeholders and to ensure the effective operations of the organization.

The ultimate governance of ACT rests with the ACT General Assembly which comprises representatives from Communities of Practice from Africa and the international community. The AGM meets once a year and is responsible for deciding constitutional, strategic matters and electing the ACT Board of Directors.

Overall direction and administration is provided by the ACT secretariat headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. ACT is staffed by professionals in conservation Agriculture and related fields located in its headquarters and sub regional offices in East Africa, Southern Africa and West Africa. In addition, ACT engages a pool of consultants from its professional’s membership data base who are specialized in various fields.
